Coastal Management: Dawlish Warren – Chris Spencer (UWE)

Photos from first lecture of the GA 2016-7 season (27th Sept 2016). Dr. Chris Spencer considers the dynamics of coastal sedimentation on the spit at Dawlish Warren, River Exe estuary, SW England. He takes advantage of undergraduate transect surveys either side of a storm event to highlight the abrupt changes that can be seen. Chris provides simple examples of system-level analysis of coast, estuary and offshore landform behaviour.
