About/contact us

The Bristol Branch of the Geographical Association has been supporting geography education for more than 100 years. It is one of around 40 local branches affiliated to the national organisation and is dedicated to delivering a stimulating programme of events to inspire a new generation of geographers. We host a series of Autumn lectures presented by active researchers, followed by a Spring Conference with a different theme each year and associated decision making exercise. In addition, there is a popular Worldwise Quiz, the finalists of which will do battle with rivals in from Bath.

Membership is offered to those that attend lecture and events (for which an administrative charge of £2 is requested for each event).

Teachers/administrators – please subscribe to our mailchimp mailing list.

Students to sign-up for lectures using the eventbrite options when they appear on the current programme page

The programme is organised by a committee (see below) with representatives from local schools and universities. Join us.. make a difference and share ideas to support geography, and add more logos and links below ;)
